How to use this tool

This is a mirror for a community, not a report card. It maps the health of a Hizmet community across seven areas, from the quality of its relationships to the soundness of its finances — always in service of a more just, peaceful, and compassionate world.

  1. Best done together. Gather a few people who see the community from different angles, and rate each statement from 1 (very weak) to 10 (excellent). Be honest, thoughtful, and constructive.
  2. Each area averages its ten statements automatically — the same as summing your scores and dividing by ten on paper.
  3. The wheel redraws as you go. A round, full wheel points to a balanced, healthy community; a lopsided one shows where attention is needed.
  4. Nothing is sent anywhere. Answers stay in this browser, so a community can revisit the wheel over a season and watch it change.
Every area starts at 5 so the wheel is visible from the outset — these are placeholders, not a verdict. Move each statement to reflect your community as it honestly is today.

Your community wheel

Rings mark 2 · 4 · 6 · 8 · 10 — the further a wedge reaches, the stronger that area.

Reading your wheel

Two things matter, and they are different. The first is size — how far your wedges reach on average. The second, often more revealing, is roundness — how even they are. A community of steady 6s across the board is healthier than one with a few brilliant 9s and a collapsing 2.

What the shape is telling you

A deep notch usually marks an area a community has quietly let slide, not one it is incapable of. The seven areas feed one another: sound governance protects trust; healthy finances sustain programs; strong relationships open the door to outreach. A weak spoke tends to strain its neighbours before long.

Where to begin

Resist the urge to fix everything at once. Choose the single lowest area, or the one whose weakness is costing the others most, and name one concrete, achievable commitment for the season ahead. Re-rate together in a few months; the wheel remembers, so progress will be visible.

The seven areas

These are not seven competing departments but seven facets of one shared life. Together they trace what makes a Hizmet community whole: faith in action, stronger communities, and steady service toward a more just and peaceful world. Every spoke of the wheel points back to that centre — stronger together.

Stronger together

No community scores tens across a full wheel, and one that tried would miss the point. The aim is a wheel round enough to keep rolling — honest reflection, shared understanding, and small commitments kept together. A more just, peaceful, and compassionate world is built one strengthened community at a time.

“Small, sincere efforts, when joined together, can make a great difference in the world.”
